Hi, I’m Ali Lafhal, also known as AliArtcher. I’m a self-taught fantasy character artist who has worked with comic creators, writers, and gaming projects over the years. Drawing has always been more than a skill for me. It’s how I think, process, and communicate.
My work leans toward dark, chaotic, yet tender and ethereal atmospheres. I’m deeply drawn to fantasy, intricate jewelry, and visual novelty. I love building characters that feel emotionally alive, not just visually impressive. For me, strong art isn’t about decoration. It’s about emotion carried through solid design and visual understanding.
Art isn’t something you learn through pure talent or chaos. It grows through structure, focused study, and intentional practice, especially in subjects you genuinely enjoy. Over time, structure becomes intuition, and intuition strengthens your structure in return, so the two develop together.
In this course, you won’t be learning how to draw individual features separately. Instead, you’ll learn how to design a face as one harmonious system, make clear visual decisions, and work with intention. Most importantly, you’ll stop waiting for a “style” to appear before you start. By learning the fundamentals, you can create with more direction, rather than feeling limited by rules.
This course is for beginners and intermediate artists who feel stuck, unsure where to start, or unable to finish their pieces. By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of visual aesthetics and the ability to create believable, beautiful portraits with confidence and intention.
