Is there a specific reason why you chose this specific topic/themes?
Art, being a visual medium, is instantly accessible to a wide audience—often in the blink of an eye. In most cases, viewers take in an artwork almost entirely within the first second of seeing it. It’s often said that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” but as artists, it’s our responsibility to decide which thousand words we want to convey, and how to guide the viewer through them.
In this curriculum, I chose to focus on the elements that I believe most strongly shape the impression an artwork leaves on its audience. After all, as artists, we’re not just creators—we’re also viewers, constantly engaging with the work ourselves.

What makes your class different from other classes?
I aim to explore and provide clear explanations for topics and theories that often seem abstract or lacking in rationale—a “why” behind the “what,” before we dive into the “how.” It’s your personal interpretation of the world, combined with a solid understanding of technique, that forms your unique artistic voice.
The latter can always be developed with time and effort. My goal is not only to teach the step-by-step techniques behind artmaking, but also to share a way of thinking about art itself. I believe there is structure within creativity, and objectivity even in the most subjective aspects of art—and that belief shapes the way I teach.

Could you please share how you started your journey in the industry?
Like most people with an interest in art, I started out with doodles. I doodled a lot in notebooks during class–I didn't have the best grades in school, see. I had always been drawn towards the creative field.
