Illustrator
Hello, I am Luc, a freelance illustrator, mainly focusing on background illustration.
My passion and specialty is in "painting" the atmosphere. With little details like lights, textures, and elements, you can add stories to the scene without any words.
Of course, it took me many researches, experiments, and countless trials and errors. For this class, I want to help you add an aesthetic atmosphere to your illustration by sharing my experiences.

Interview with
Illustrator Luc
Why did you choose this specific topic?
It felt like a challenging topic for some people, with limited resources available to learn from. I want to provide what I can for those needing a hint on approaching certain areas. It leans towards a practical approach and observation. I believe the techniques and principles universally apply in all situations.
Where do you get inspirations for your work?
I like to experiment with everything that resonates with my aesthetic radar. Whether it is places I traveled to or things I found on the internet. I want my work to pursue life, peace, and virtue.
Is there anything else you would like to share with your students?
The most important mindset is to research and hunt for knowledge constantly. A person’s drawing reflects everything they currently know and understand. Meaning the more you learn, the more tools you have available to work with.
I believe most skills in the world can be obtained through effort and experience, not something to be born with.
