Hello everyone,
I’m Takada Yui, a graphic designer.
Currently, my primary work spans advertising, packaging, logos, websites, books, and other areas of graphic design.
Starting from Japan, I have recently held solo exhibitions and participated in creative projects across Asia, including China and Taiwan. I also actively engage in exchanges with designers and artists from Switzerland, France, and beyond.
While staying attuned to global design movements, I continually observe and reflect on what I want to pursue now, what captures people’s attention, and how to create better design—design that no one has yet discovered.
Over the past decade, I have stood at the university lectern, working with students hands-on, challenging ourselves to approach and observe design from every possible angle.
In this course, I will begin with stories from my student years and connect them to the methods (purpose and attitude) with which I have approached design ever since. I will share the responsibilities a designer should uphold and teach you how to cultivate the ability to face design itself—before learning software techniques or design skills.
I believe that with perceptive insight and flexible thinking, your design capabilities can elevate instantly. I have prepared rich yet easy-to-follow materials, and I hope you will engage with the course consistently and repeatedly as part of your daily practice.
