Recommendation
Who should take this class?
Aspiring Asset Creators and Freelancers
People who want to offer stream asset commissions professionally, learning not only the technical skills but also how to design for a client’s brand, prepare a clean handoff, and deliver a polished final product.
Illustrators Looking to Enter the VTuber Space
Artists who already have strong drawing skills but want to learn how to design specifically for VTubing, including how illustration choices affect rigging, asset usability, and the overall production pipeline.
VTubers Looking to Expand Their Stream
Creators who already have a model but want to expand their presence with custom stream assets that bring their world to life, without the cost of starting from scratch.

Why Take This Class?
Growing a VTuber's world usually runs into the same wall: cost. Commissioning a whole new model or a fresh outfit just to change up the vibe is a huge burden, often thousands of dollars and weeks of turnaround. Assets are how creators get that new look and functionality affordably, and demand for them keeps rising as more VTubers reach for accessories, costume props, and customizable setups. For anyone who can produce them well, that demand is an opportunity.
What you rarely get to see is how the two halves actually connect. Here, the illustrator and the rigger teach side by side, so you learn how a design decision becomes a clean, rig-ready PSD, and how that handoff turns into a working rig with physics-driven triggers and real interactivity. You also go deeper into the technical side: complex forms, conditional physics, and the lesser-used corners of Live2D that make an asset feel truly alive.

Class Highlights
Design Assets That Fit a VTuber’s World
Learn how to design stream assets that feel naturally connected to a VTuber’s existing model, brand, and on-screen identity. You’ll explore how color palettes, mood, shapes, and visual language can make an asset feel like part of the character’s world instead of an add-on.
Build a Production-Ready PSD and Rig
Follow the full asset creation pipeline from sketching and part separation to PSD organization, Live2D Cubism import, and rig setup. You’ll learn how illustration decisions affect motion, hierarchy, physics, idle animation, and toggle states before the asset ever reaches VTube Studio.
Bring Your Asset Live in VTube Studio
Learn how to export a finished Live2D asset and integrate it directly into VTube Studio for real streaming use. You’ll test the asset with a VTuber model, set up hotkeys and toggles, and refine the final delivery so it feels polished, usable, and ready for a client or portfolio.
Illustrator
7MDigital
Hi, I’m 7MDigital, founder and lead illustrator of 7MC Productions, a studio specializing in high-quality digital art for the VTubing and live-streaming space. With clients including Hololive, EA/Apex Legends, Phase Connect, and Mythic Talent, I’ve helped create everything from animated assets and interactive backgrounds to mascot rigs with Twitch integrations.
In this class, I’ll guide you through creating professional VTuber assets from concept to final VTube Studio setup, covering brand-focused design, Cubism illustration and rigging, and workflows shaped by real industry experience.
Rigger
Rouraun
Hi everyone, I’m Rouraun, an illustrator and Live2D animator active in the VTubing industry since 2021. I began with Live2D character models before expanding into asset work as part of 7MC, creating VTuber models and assets for organizations such as V4Mirai, Hololive, and Phase Connect.
My specialty is technical rigging, especially complex forms and conditional trigger systems driven by physics. In this class, I’ll explore Live2D rigging through VTuber assets, showing how they can extend a VTuber’s scene or model while focusing on technical workflows and lesser-used techniques.

Interview with
VTuber Asset Studio, 7MC Productions
I wanted this class to show what the asset creation process looks like from the inside, from the first concept to something you can use live on stream. Whether you want to expand your brand, enhance your setup, or bring your world to life, this class gives you a practical way to approach that process.
This class helps fill that gap by focusing on VTuber assets from both an illustration and rigging perspective. It covers a technical side of VTuber creation that is essential, but not often discussed in depth.
What stood out to me was how hard it was for VTubers to bring their presence beyond the model itself. Unlike IRL streamers, they cannot simply grab something from their room or buy a prop from a store. That gap became the spark behind 7MC: creating tools and assets that help VTubers expand their worlds with the same freedom.
Live2D assets can help bridge that gap by adding functionality and personality without requiring a full model rebuild. As more VTubers use accessories, props, and customizable setups, this class helps students expand their skills beyond standard model work and offer more flexible asset-based solutions.
But the most important skill is curiosity. The VTuber space changes constantly, so you need to stay aware of what creators need, how design choices affect rigging, and how assets interact with a model or stream setup. To me, success means creating something that fits so naturally into a VTuber’s world that viewers do not question it. The best work is not always the flashiest. It is the work that quietly elevates everything around it.
It is like building a puzzle. Each piece may be simple on its own, but once you understand how they connect, you can create something complex. My advice is not to sweat every detail. Focus on learning the process, trust it, and do not be afraid to make mistakes. Trial and error is how real understanding is built, and it is how we got to where we are at 7MC.
