Current Designers
Why Take This Class?
There were many motion design courses that taught how to use tools and portfolio tips. However, it was difficult to find a course that taught pre-production, an important beginning and pillar of motion design, in detail and at a practical level. This class is the only 'pre-production' motion design course in Korea that focuses entirely on the 'planning' and 'design' parts of the motion work process that leads to [planning - design - animation and post-production].
I materialize my ideas, create a concept, complete the storyboard (planning), and even create a practical style frame based on my understanding of visual design and drawing (2D design)! Check out the pre-production curriculum that allows you to learn planning and 2D design in depth at Coloso now.

Art Director
Haewon Shin
Hello, my name is Haewon Shin and I am a motion designer and art director. I am currently working as a freelancer and collaborating with various clients and companies both domestically and overseas, including in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. We have produced motion designs for studios such as Ordinary Folk, The Furrow, Art&Graft, and Hornet, and for various global companies such as Webflow, SAP, Google, and Ted.
While I gained experience in all areas of production as a generalist when I was working at a company or as a freelancer in Korea, I am currently working as a specialist focusing on concept, design, illustration, and art directing. Based on this, my course will be one that focuses entirely on concept (planning) and art (2D illustration and design). I hope this course will be of great help in strengthening your planning and design capabilities as a motion designer.

Interview with
Art Director Haewon Shin
Why did you choose the ‘pre-production’ part as the class topic?
Working on a motion project is like putting buttons in order. I wanted to suggest a course that would solidify the foundations of 'planning', the first button of motion design, and 'design', the second button . This will not be a simple tutorial to learn skills, but a class that will help you strengthen your capabilities as a designer .
What are your unique strengths in this course?
I am currently working independently as a specialist focusing on planning, concept, and design processes . I would like to say that my strengths are in planning that uniquely differentiates motion projects according to the needs of the brand, and in creating sophisticated style frames based on abstract graphics or illustrations.
What is the unique point of this class?
It contains insights and know-how accumulated through a unique history of expanding domestic work experience to overseas activities without studying abroad or overseas experience. In my course, you will be able to experience a curriculum that focuses entirely on motion project planning and 2D design , as well as case studies of various overseas projects .
Who do you recommend this class to?
I highly recommend it to those who are concerned about a lack of basics, want to strengthen their planning skills, or want to improve the quality of their artwork . As important as good farming equipment (tool study), perhaps even more important for a farmer is having good land and seeds (basic and design skills). We have prepared a curriculum so that those taking the course can develop their planning and design skills as designers.
