Class Details
You'll Learn
-
Adopt an Attitude of ObservationAmong the core knowledge in the basics of drawing, you will learn observation methods to draw well, including knowledge of proportion, slope, silhouette, and shape, which are the basis for understanding the basics of the human body. -
Three-dimensional ViewAfter building basic knowledge, you will learn how to apply a three-dimensional effect to the human body by connecting it to perspective knowledge. This will enable you to view shapes in three dimensions and understand the form and structure of the human body. -
Understanding Diagramming and AnatomyAfter understanding the whole body as a diagram, we will explore the purpose of studying anatomy. First, you will learn the "landmark skeleton," which is the major skeletal structure, and then connect graphical human body concepts and anatomical knowledge to the movements of the human body.
-
Detailed Step by Step LearningAfter learning the major skeletal structures, we will cover the core principles of diagramming and anatomy in the order of center of gravity: head, face, hair, torso, arms, legs, hands, and feet. Through this course, you will master all the essential basics of drawing both the overall human body and its detailed parts. -
Learn and Immediately Apply Various PosesAfter learning the core of the human body, we will draw various poses in everyday life. You can upgrade your pose drawing skills sequentially by starting from standing and sitting poses and gradually drawing more difficult poses. -
Application and CreationBy applying the knowledge you have accumulated step by step, you will ultimately be able to complete one type of character of your own.

Interview with
Illustrator Yongu U
What sets you apart in teaching this course?
Having repeatedly lectured to beginners, I understand the difficulties they face. Additionally, our ongoing production of lecture content allows us to easily share our know-how. In this class, I aim to convey the information I have organized and researched in the simplest way possible, helping beginners find answers on how to study and draw effectively.
What is the key point of this course?
This class will succinctly cover the key points of 'figurative drawing' and 'anatomy,' essential topics for beginners in drawing. The aim is to understand three-dimensional objects through diagramming and to learn natural human body expressions through anatomy. From the reasons for studying to the methods of study, I will provide information in an easy and friendly manner tailored for beginners.
If you had to choose the target audience for this course, who would they be?
This will be a useful class for those who have just started drawing, those who have difficulty with creative drawing, and those who are curious about graphic drawing and anatomy.
What problems does the above course target have, and how can this course help?
Many people get sidetracked by the complexities of graphic drawing and anatomy, often finding the material overwhelming and difficult, leading to frustration or giving up. In this class, as the title suggests, I will focus on delivering only the core content that you can "learn and use right away." Rather than studying for the sake of studying, you will learn exactly what you need for character drawing right now.
