Interview with
Illustrator Seoji
Many people look at my work and compliment me on the high-quality drawings and beautiful, attention-grabbing colors. Getting such positive feedback allows you to enjoy illustration more and improve your skills quickly. This all-in-one class starts from the basics, so learners can draw characters more easily and comfortably than in my previous two classes. Students can create and draw universally likable and adorable characters by learning stylization and drawing techniques, the keys to anime-style illustration. Furthermore, the class will provide reliable guidance to identify and work on their weaknesses as illustrators.
Everyone who draws shares the passion to create something new through their art. However, creation is often accompanied by pain. I'd like to guide learners to the shortcut that allows them to navigate the challenging journey of studying art, helping them to construct their own worlds. By exploring various types of characters and stylization techniques, they can figure out the unique drawing style that suits them. This can lead to other projects, such as creating merchandise and taking commissions. To this end, the curriculum includes exercises at different levels, from basic to advanced, to facilitate skill development.
With this class, learners will be able to understand the fundamentals of anime-style character illustration and create characters of varying styles and proportions in their own way. It covers the entire workflow of creating a full illustration to build the necessary skills, starting from key theoretical knowledge, like basic drawing techniques, application methods for various situations, and practical illustration production. You’ll gain the experience, as well as the abilities, needed for great results with your artwork. This will give you not just drawing skills but also the foothold to improve your skills as a creator.
