Illustrator/Director
Ormille
Hey! I’m Ormille, you can call me Oru. You might know me online as the artist who only draws greens but outside of that I am a Tokyo based Illustrator/Director. I have worked on a handful of animated commercials and music videos and I am honored to have worked alongside some of the most talented artists in the industry and I have learned so much while working with them.
I have been part of every facet of the production pipeline from pre-production to post-production. To have this much visibility over the creative process of a project is a blessing as an artist and I am excited to share all these skills I’ve picked up over my years in the industry in this course.

Interview with
Animation Director Ormille
I chose this topic because it is the perfect middle ground between my passion for filmmaking and animation and character illustration that I think will be easy for artists to get into even beginners.
My class goes beyond teaching illustration techniques, it serves as a miniature model of the animation production pipeline that can be scaled to full production. We begin with pre-production, production and post-production that is easy to follow and beginner friendly.
There is so much to do in the creative industry, just knowing how to draw can open so many opportunities for you and it can be quite overwhelming if you don’t know where you stand. I think it’s important to keep challenging yourself and keep being curious to learn something new. It doesn’t have to be strictly about art, just observing what’s around you can spark some new discoveries. Keep being curious and passionate!
