Hello, my name's Rando!
I'm an indie animator, webcomic artist, and content creator, apparently known for the expressive faces in my works. In this course, allow me to teach you how I create and use the faces I draw so that you may have a broader perspective on developing and applying them yourself.
As I have no industry experience whatsoever, my methods and techniques are self-taught and improvised. Hence, whether you're an artist or just curious, I hope what I share can help you expand your knowledge of creating expressions and personalities for your characters!

Is there a specific reason why you chose this specific topic/themes?
Many fans of my work have made it clear that they enjoy the facial expressions of my characters, and that it's THE feature of my works that is almost immediately recognizable to them. I don't go out of my way to force these facial expressions, but since it's one of the things that stand out the most according to the fans, I figured it may be the one thing that is my niche to teach.

What makes your class different from other classes?
Have you seen anyone else draw faces the way I do? My fans tell me no — and they would never lie to me. I've also been told that I'm a gullible man.

Could you please share how you started your journey in the industry?
I started creating short comics privately for my classmates back in 2011 when I was still studying for a diploma. At the time, they were just cringy jokes about our teachers and inside jokes that only we understood. However, they eventually persuaded me to start posting these comics publicly in 2012. The jokes often relied on facial expressions as punchlines, which became a staple of my work over time. As a result, I self-studied how faces work (among other things) to improve my drawing abilities. I have since expanded into producing animations, illustrations, and a full-length webcomic.
