I’ve been steadily building my career across various fields while continuing to create personal work. With each experience I gain, I strive to grow and produce better, more meaningful illustrations.
As someone who deeply loves both comics and illustration, I naturally began exploring the fusion of the two, which led me to the world of storytelling illustration.

Question.01
What do you consider your strength when working on creative tasks?
I believe my strength lies in my desire to observe various works and connect with the thoughts and emotions within them. I often spend a long time looking at other people's artwork, and each piece seems to hold its own story and feeling. In the same way, I hope others will spend time with my drawings too, so I try to express meaningful messages and my own intentions in each piece.

What do you think is the most important element when creating a series of illustrations?
When creating a series of illustrations, I believe the most important element is the artist’s ego. The thoughts they hold, the values they live by, and what they hope to express through the work—all of these should be reflected in the pieces. A series allows the artist to reveal themselves layer by layer, and ultimately, to solidify their persona as a creator. I think the real charm of a series lies in its ability to showcase a unique mood and aura that sets the artist apart.

What was the intention behind planning this class, and what sets it apart from others?
In this class, you'll learn how to create a series of illustrations that combines the storytelling of comics with the visual direction of illustration. A well-crafted series carries a unique power that single illustrations often can't achieve. Just like a garden becomes more vibrant with dozens of flowers instead of just one, a series enriched with synergy can leave a lasting impression. I’ll be sharing the secrets behind creating compelling series that highlight the best of both comics and illustration.

Is there a final message you'd like to leave for your students or young artists just starting out?
I believe drawing is a way for us to leave a trace of our soul in the world. Our art reflects who we are, it resembles us, and the way we live. And because we are constantly changing, day by day, we can’t help but keep drawing. To all of you who will go on to create countless pieces of your own, I hope this class can be a small guidepost along your journey.
