What do you think is your strength?
When I draw, I enjoy applying, analyzing, and exploring what I've learned and seeing myself gradually improve. I consciously avoid comparing myself to others or setting limitations, and I focus instead on ensuring that each new drawing surpasses the last. This aspiration and persistence towards improvement, even if it means my drawing or my skills lack worth at the moment, is my biggest strength.
How are the strengths integrated into your curriculum?
I jotted down the study methods that proved effective for me when studying alone, and I would implement them whenever necessary to improve my skills. Using those methods as theoretical foundations, I carefully designed the flow and pace of my chapters to create an environment in which students can relate, practice, and upgrade their skills. I can guarantee that if you understand the essential mechanisms of studying art and put the key takeaways and methods highlighted in the chapters into practice, you will find yourself building confidence and a proactive attitude that will motivate you to continue studying and pursuing art.
How is this class different from others?
This entire class was planned for aspiring illustrators who are studying on their own, or struggling to improve their beginner or intermediate-level skills. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide help to those who want to upgrade their illustration skills. The focus of the class is on creating a comprehensive flow that covers various theories essential to studying art, as well as the proper attitude and approach required to truly make these theories your own.
Any last words of advice or tips for your students?
We’ve all felt overwhelmed and felt like we are not talented enough. Personally, I always feel that way. But frankly, I do not care. The secret behind this confidence is that I always try, and I always put in effort, which gives me faith that with practice, my skills will get better. I believe confidence and a strong mentality are some of the most important characteristics an artist should have. I've included in this class every single technique that has helped me gain confidence. I sincerely hope that the lessons I'm about to share will enrich and enhance your work.
