Hello, I'm Daehyuk Kwak, the Head Director of d'of Dosan. With 22 years of experience as a hair designer, I began my journey in beauty at the age of 16. In my 20s, I studied abroad in Japan and made my debut as a designer in Tokyo. Since then, I have worked with various celebrities in Cheongdam-dong, and currently, I am leading d'of Dosan, where I handle salon work and conduct various seminars.
In this Coloso class, I aim to share personalized haircut designs that emphasize both sophistication and natural elegance. I'll be delivering all the know-how behind the haircut techniques that combine trendy and classic elements, styles that have earned lasting love from many clients.

We provide trendy yet refined styles through personalized designs tailored to each client's face shape, fashion sense, and lifestyle, all backed by meticulous technique.

What motivated you to prepare this online class?
Through domestic and international haircut seminars and master classes, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many designers and found great fulfillment in being able to support them. While everyone shares the same desire to satisfy and impress their clients, many still struggle to bring their envisioned styles to life. That’s why I decided to prepare this Coloso class—focusing on timeless techniques that remain practical over time. It’s all about mastering the fundamentals while incorporating modern trends. I hope students will not only learn the styles covered in the class but also gain the ability to adapt them to various situations and ultimately discover their own originality.

The key appeal lies in being able to complete a haircut that adds unique emotional detail through strong foundational skills. In this class, I’ll be sharing in-depth, step-by-step guidance on the trendy salon haircuts I’ve previously only shown in short clips on social media—starting from the design process itself.

You’ll learn the most essential basics of haircutting: precise sectioning, combing techniques, and body positioning. By mastering body position control, you’ll be able to create the desired cutting lines and shapes. You’ll also gain a clear understanding of overdirection and practice how to build your desired shape using three base types. In addition, the course covers slicing techniques, the foundations of layered cuts, and how to execute accurate cutting methods for more efficient work.
