3D Artist
Hi, everyone! I'm EmesZack.
I'm a Blender Generalist who can work
with a variety of styles like Lo-fi & BNPR
(Blender Non Photo-Realistic)
from modeling, texturing, and lighting
to compositing and rendering.
My main work revolves around my original anime characters.
Currently I'm working on a short film project
using Blender's 2D feature Grease Pencil.
I've taught myself to be attentive to detail over the years,
and it has helped me greatly in creating eye-catching art.
I'm also passionate about teaching people
who want to learn Blender and expand their art style.
Through this class, I want to share
what I have experimented and learned
creating numerous Lo-fi animations.
I believe this class will be a great guideline
for your Blender journey as a beginning artist.

Interview with
Expert 3D Artist
EmesZack

Is there a specific reason why you chose this specific topic/themes?
& What makes your class different from other classes?
Animation and Music have always been my inspiration. By creating Lo-fi art, I could combine those two mediums into one. I also wanted to show the wide range of styles you can create using Blender, a 3D animation tool to create high-quality animations and visual effects. Among the different styles, I found the Lo-fi animation style using Grease Pencil visually attractive. I believe learning how to create Lo-fi animations will broaden your perspective in creating a variety of styles in Blender.
Could you please share how you started your journey in the industry?
This class is special because we're creating a believable 2D animation using 3D software. There aren't a lot of classes that use Grease Pencil to create a Lo-fi animation. The Lo-fi animation style is very trendy and eye-catching, and I'll teach you to coordinate a specific set of colors that will match your animation perfectly. To sum it all, I believe learning the entire process of creating a Lo-fi animation with Grease Pencil techniques will be a unique experience for students.
What would be the most important takeaway from your class?
It would be understanding the entire workflow of creating a Lo-fi animation. Just as it is important to learn specific techniques, it is important to understand the entire workflow in order to work efficiently when dealing with a non-conventional style of art. Another important takeaway is learning how to use various features in Blender, especially the Grease Pencil. It's a powerful tool to transform everyday backgrounds into aesthetic Lo-fi animation.
