interview
What illustrator Mark J wants to say
Why should we learn croquis from painting?
First of all, the advantage of concentrating and expressing in a short period of time is that your observation skills increase. In addition, it is possible to work more efficiently by reducing the time, while also learning about pen pressure and how to write lines. As a result, croquis is essential for those who are trying their hand at drawing because it allows them to express natural poses of the human body.
If you had to choose the target audience for this course, what would it be?
This course is helpful to all types of audiences, including beginners who are just starting out with a blank slate, serious hobbyists, and working illustrators. In fact, many people in the field come to my lectures to look at the human body from a new perspective.
What is the planning intention or point of this lecture?
It's about building a solid foundation that won't collapse. The picture is of a long run. Just as basic physical strength is important for running for a long time, the basics are also important in painting. If you practice the basic skills of observing and drawing shapes through croquis, your observation and drawing skills will naturally improve.
Please say something to the students.
Based on my experience of teaching croquis classes for a long time, I will help you understand croquis, which may seem difficult, more easily. If you follow the class while recognizing the relationship between the perspective from which you view the object and the human body croquis, your basic skills will improve along with the expansion of your perspective on observing objects, so please trust and follow along.
We will guide you through the program to use.
This lecture is conducted using paper and pen, iPad, and Adobe Photoshop CC, and focuses on drawing skills rather than tools.
Since this is a learning course , anyone can take the course smoothly as long as they have the materials to draw without an iPad or program.
*Programs and materials are not provided separately.
