What are your unique strengths as an instructor, especially in relation to this class?
This class is packed with the skills and techniques artists need to draw sexy female characters, particularly focusing on creating texture and composition. Also, as a self-taught illustrator, I will be able to share my insight about practicing and improving your skills while studying on your own.

What is the purpose or key takeaway of this class?
Its curriculum allows learners, including beginners, to practice the basics and improve their skills. I think many who take this class find it difficult to draw the human figure or clothing, or to set up compositions. To help you overcome such challenges, I designed the curriculum to look in depth at the foundational skills required for figure drawing. You’ll also learn how to create clothing textures, practice fabric folds, and see how to draw them in a way that suits your illustration.

What is the most challenging aspect for those studying in this field, and how can this course address and resolve challenges?
I believe many learners think that their compositions lack appeal. Also, some may feel quite confident with line art but have difficulty with details, which is why I’d like to share how I add details. To be specific, I’ll explain the basic process and techniques of coloring, as well as how to give a balanced look to the overall illustration, all in an easy-to-understand manner.

Do you have a message for
prospective students?
Above all, you should be able to enjoy illustration. As long as you keep aiming high and setting a goal, your artwork is bound to get better. Being a self-taught illustrator, it took me a long time to master my skills. But you can now do that through websites and social media, just like in this class. If you can’t take an in-person class, I think that this will be the most efficient way to study illustration!
