Roadmap
The Complete Guide to Digital Fashion: From First Stitch to Final Render
3D Fashion Designer
Monica Findeis
I’m a Brazilian 3D Fashion Designer, born in a small town in the countryside of Brazil, a textile hub where I first dreamed of working in fashion. Inspired by my grandmother, a seamstress who passed down her craft to me, I honed my design skills from a young age. After pursuing a degree in Fashion Design, I gained valuable experience working with major retail and wholesale brands. As the industry evolved, I became increasingly drawn to the possibilities of digital fashion.
With over 12 years in the industry, I fully transitioned to digital fashion and now combine my expertise in design and technology to create realistic digital garments, helping brands bring their visions to life. As one of the CLO Creators, I push the boundaries of virtual fashion, exploring new ways to merge creativity and innovation. Beyond designing, I’m passionate about education, mentoring creatives eager to explore 3D fashion. For me, digital fashion is more than just a tool—it’s a new way of storytelling, where creativity has no limits.

Interview with
3D Fashion Designer Monica Findeis
This class reflects my mission to help designers transition into the digital world with a solid understanding of garment creation, from 3D fundamentals to advanced techniques. I aim to teach not only how to use CLO but also how to leverage it to bring creative visions to life, with a focus on practical skills that align with industry needs. Through this course, students will learn to create digital fashion that’s not only technically sound but also artistically innovative.
I prioritize a hands-on approach, guiding students through every stage of the design process, from creating accurate patterns to simulating fabrics and styling garments. Additionally, I focus on building creative confidence by encouraging students to push boundaries and explore their own design vision. My goal is to equip students with both the technical expertise and the artistic insight needed to excel in the ever-evolving digital fashion industry.
This technical foundation becomes even more valuable when pushing the boundaries of digital design. A solid grasp of draping techniques in the real world enables designers to replicate them with accuracy in the virtual space—and then go beyond, crafting effects that would be impossible in traditional fashion. The industry values professionals who can seamlessly merge tradition and innovation, transforming fashion expertise into the digital realm.
After all, the most groundbreaking digital fashion is rooted in a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. To shape the future of fashion, one must master the knowledge that has defined it for generations.
