👑Soar_WLE - Beyond Dimensions👑

Q1. What inspired the core concept of this piece?
The theme of “Point of Difference” led me to a fundamental question: where does an artist’s identity come from? I found the answer in the uniqueness of myself as an individual. What I love and immerse myself in, as the only person like me in the world, naturally becomes my point of difference. With this in mind, I focused on my relationship with drawing—why I continue to create, and the joy and emotions I experience through the act of drawing. Through this process, I realized that I am deeply fascinated by the act of bringing life to something that does not exist. This became the conceptual foundation of the work.

Q2. How did you translate this concept into visual elements?
As I developed the idea further, I reflected on a specific sensation that often occurs while drawing—the moment when it feels as if the subject I am creating meets my gaze. I interpreted this as a meeting beyond dimensions, where the boundary between reality and imagination dissolves. This fleeting moment became the core of the piece.

I expressed this through the contact between the tablet pen and the character’s eye, while conveying the character’s vitality through dynamic, wave-like water. The water’s surface represents the boundary between dimensions, emphasizing the contrast in density between the 2D world and reality. At the same time, its transparency blurs the distinction between the white canvas and the real world.

Q3. What message do you hope viewers take away from this work?
Anyone who draws may have experienced a moment of connection beyond dimensions. I, too, became captivated by this experience, which continues to motivate me to create more dynamic and vivid worlds.
Through this work, I hope to evoke a sense of empathy and encourage viewers to reflect on why we create art—why we continue to draw—and to consider their own answers to these fundamental questions.

🥈Blake Donaldson - Day Dream🥈

"The character is us, someone working to harness their creative potential deep within themselves in an otherwise drab and dull (monochromatic) world, doggedly pushing through the spirits of doubt and fear, facing off with somebody else who’s already harnessed their own potential. Their rival and their inspiration."

🥈Vabee Homvut - Vilar City [City of Cats]🥈

"The theme of this contest is 'Point of Difference,' and I have taken this into consideration. I love drawing, be it people, animals, buildings, or objects.

To me, one subject can be translated into many visual interests! So, I thought: what if I took the topic of 'Cats'—how much could I create based on a single motif?"

🥉Blake Byun - Tranquil Dissonance🥉

"This project visualizes the psychological duality of an individual who hides a lazy and greedy nature behind a seemingly peaceful exterior.

By setting the character as a witch in a fantasy world, I aimed to explore the contrast between a "cozy-looking distance" and the "uncomfortable truths" found upon closer inspection. "

🥉Han-bi Kwon - Tulip Perfume: Spring Fairy🥉

"Refining my skills and searching for direction felt like crafting a perfume, so I expressed
this piece as a perfume promotion poster. The figure in the bottle symbolizes a creator
shaped by Coloso, while the surrounding tulips represent inspirations gained along the way."
