Student Review
Testimonials from gene Li's Drawing Study, with Over 100 Participants per Session
-
Study Participant ABefore joining the study, I could see how much I was lacking, and things just wouldn't come out the way I wanted, so I kept putting down my pen. I'd either draw nothing at all, or start something and leave it unfinished. But once I was in the study and found myself in a situation where I had no choice but to keep drawing, I eventually built up the courage to keep going and gained the confidence to work on my own projects independently. Even when I felt like giving up along the way, I found strength in seeing the other participants, and studying theory I didn't know helped me a lot when I was actually drawing.

Study Participant BI'm so grateful to gene Li. I wanted to draw, but I felt like I wasn't good enough: things wouldn't come out the way I wanted, and I kept running away from drawing and getting nowhere. While I had stepped away from it, I came across gene Li's study and found the courage to try. Drawing consistently here helped my skills improve little by little, and I developed the mindset of just giving it a shot even when things don't go well. If it hadn't been for gene Li's study, I'd probably still be avoiding it and watching everyone else's work from the sidelines. I want to keep participating and moving forward!

Study Participant CI'd been following gene Li for a while before the study launched, and I was lucky enough to get a spot. Even though drawing every single day didn't lead to any dramatic leaps in improvement, I felt a real sense of accomplishment just from showing up each day. Drawing daily felt like spending time on something I genuinely enjoy, and I was able to make my days feel much more fulfilling than when I wasn't doing anything. I'd love to join the next study if I can, and really give it my all. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful study!
