2danimator,msbunnat Details
MsBunnat is an independent artist specializing in comics and animation, recognized for her projects My Unreachable Ganimedes and The One He Loves. Blending a cute aesthetic with a mixed visual style inspired by shoujo manga and Brazilian influences, she creates expressive short form animations designed specifically for vertical platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. With a strong emphasis on character expression, vibrant color palettes, and frame by frame animation, her work centers on emotionally driven, character focused storytelling.
In this class, MsBunnat shares her creative process in detail, offering practical techniques for beginners alongside deeper artistic insights for more advanced students. She also explores the vertical format as a powerful storytelling tool, encouraging students to craft compelling short narratives while challenging themselves to experiment beyond their comfort zone.

What led you to choose this topic or theme? What makes your class different from other classes?
I love telling stories and exploring characters, especially through comics and animation. I’m also passionate about sharing art theories, like the beauty of “futile” art, created purely for the artist’s satisfaction. I want to challenge the idea that deeply conceptual art isn’t good art and promote more creative freedom.
After exploring other animation courses, I realized I could offer something rare: a class focused on vertical format animation. It’s a relatively new format with unique techniques and strong audience engagement, yet it lacks enough research and professional exploration. Although technology evolves quickly, I believe it’s the right time to help more artists see vertical animation as a powerful and professional medium for expression.
Could you please share how you started your journey in the industry? What kind of industry developments do you foresee, and how does this class prepare students for that future?
I can only exist as an artist because of the era we live in. I began drawing as a child and eventually left my veterinary studies to pursue design and animation, driven by my love for art.
Sharing work online brought me opportunities. Luck helped, but so did consistent study and effort. Over time, I built a small audience by simply sharing my characters and stories, gaining both freedom and stability.
My class teaches character work and vertical animation, helping artists create efficient, original pieces. As the industry shifts toward vertical and independent formats, I want students to meet new standards, build their audience, and innovate safely with their own ideas.
